Profile for Service was developed specifically for use in the retail industry. It identifies high-caliber, hard working, and service-oriented employees for sales, service, and cashier positions. It measures four competencies identified as critical for successful performance: basic skills, work approach, dependability, and customer focus. The test is currently available on-line and in paper-and-pencil format with 24/7 fax-back scoring. Score reports can include only a "hire/do not hire" recommendation or a profile of relative strengths and weaknesses by dimension. “Critical responses” and suggested interview questions may also be included in the score report.
