PBS professionals are accomplished in using job analysis and competency modeling to:

 

  • identify critical roles and responsibilities;
  • determine the knowledges, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (KSAOs) necessary for success;
  • profile jobs in terms of the characteristics that best differentiate between the employees who struggle and those who excel.
  • clarify performance standards and expectations; and
  • translate mission and vision statements into day-to-day activities.
