PBS has developed and maintains an item bank of over 800 items targeting 25 different work attitudes/approaches that have proven to be predictive of job performance and successful work behaviors. The most relevant items/scales can be selected from the item bank based on a review of job requirements and selection needs. The customized approach offers the advantages of tailored test measurement and exclusivity while minimizing cost. The scales have been validated against a variety of different criteria including supervisory ratings of effectiveness, certification test results, training success, employee retention measures, citizenship behaviors (e.g., absenteeism), and even profitability.

Customized test products can be licensed for use and administered by the client or via the PBS online administration platform. Automated test score reports are also customizable, allowing for an overall recommendation or a more detailed profile of relative strengths and needs by competency/dimension.
